Dr Abha Yadav is a scholar of international repute who holds a Ph.D. from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India. She has taught at the University of Delhi and delivered lectures on various legal issues in India and abroad. She is the recipient of the prestigious Fox International Fellowship from Yale University, U.S.A and has studied Intellectual Property Management from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. She has conducted training sessions for senior managers in various prestigious institutions and has worked closely with NGOs for social causes and to spread awareness about women-centric themes as well as Right to Information. She is a recipient of an award from the International Congress of Women in 2009. She has also presented papers in various national and international conferences and seminars. She is an alumnus of the Women in University Administration Programme at University of Nebraska, Omaha, U.S.A. administered by the U.S. State Department. She is currently heading the Legal Department in Jawaharlal Nehru University and is also the Central Pubilc Information Officer of the University under the Right to Information Act, 2005 and Labour Welfare Officer. She has been actively involved in the Anti-Ragging Committee of the University as Member-Secretary and as a member of the Anti-Ragging squad.
